Markts in Berlin!

Berlin is Brilliant! We have met great people, been invited to many parties, 

The sun is shining, we have got a great place to park Honey Bunch, and we have been selling our designs about town!

This Thursday 2nd (Donnerstag) and Friday 3^rd (Freitag) We will have a stall at an Art Markt (KunstMarkt) near the Bode Museum, on Am Zeughaus 11-5pm, Selling our individually designed and made: Bikinis, Bags (Taschen), Recycled Skirts (Rocke), Earrings (Ohrringe), Necklaces (Ketten), and more!

Cluster F*#k – 26/05/11

Huge shout out and thanks to Elyas (http://www.elyaskhan.com/bio) , Melissa and the Cluster F*#k crew for inviting us to their party @ WHITE TRASH, we had a most excellent time!

The musicians were wicked, the party pumped and we took a lot of photos in the Wanderlusting Artisans Portrait studio, glitter consumption was gargantuan, thanks to all those brave enough to take part!!!

In Berlin Baby!

We have landed safe and sound in Berlin and have been straight on it!

So far our Diary for the 1st week looks like:

Tuesday 24th: Measure Honey Bunch for Plans for Nowhere Festival, Spain

Wedsday 25th: Dinner at a Wagon Platz (lots of vehicles parked up)

Thursday 26th: Portrait Studio at CLUSTERFUCK @ White Trash Bar

Friday 27th: Opening of Baeckerei @ Kaskelstrasse15 7pm-12 (selling Bikinis, clothes, jewelery and bloody Mary's!)

Saturday 28th: Sunbathing...

Sunday 29th: RAW Flo Markt Sunday, Revaler Strasse

SICK!

The Lyrical Myricalz tour manager 'Dave' got them a gig performing Thursday night at SICK, DE, and SICK it was! The general response from the crowd was 'Das SICK yo!'

The Lyrical Myricalz are on fire..

With a final photo shoot in Amsterdam with a great model Chris under their belts, the Wanderlusting Artisans are in Hamburg, in St Pauli having a marvellous time with all the weird and wonderful things the city has to offer. We have drunk some fines coffees

taken our own wine to a city beach bar

been chatted up by the local 'mystical' drunk at a squat Café, and watched some more of season 2 TRUE BLOOD..hopelessly addicted!

Then continuing onto Berlin, with a possible stop at a lake for some outside nature time..

Fashion show thanks, and heading to Berlin!!!

Was great! Thanks to all those to came along, and bought some of our fab designs, and then partied with us!

Cycling back to North Amsterdam with all of our clothes, bags, jewellery, a huge picture frame, and a gold bum called Shirley turned into a travelling 'side show' performance..but we finally made it back at 2am crawling into bed!

The rain has returned to Amsterdam..so we spent all day yesterday lounging around watching films and eating yummy things from our cupboards..perfect! Though we did drag ourselves out of Honey Bunch to film our amazing musician friend Nadia record her new song 'Fallin Rain' – up on youtube soon! Its beautiful..

Today is action Stations as we prepare to go to Berlin. We will miss our Frieken's Crew and all the fab times we have had 'Amsterdam Styleez' but the next stage of our adventure is upon us.. ZZZOOOOOOOOM!

What a great weekend @ Rui Goord

On Saturday we set off Rui Goord – it's a village that has been squatted since the 70's and is full of art studios, and holds regular events in the Village church. We had been wanting to visit, and when our chums Robbie and Viktor of Olifanttakeover told us they were performing their Cabaret there on Saturday, it gave us ample reason to!

The village is beautiful, though its become more and more hemmed in by the massive industrial sites surrounding it – the dock expands and Rui Goord shrinks..such a shame as it's a great spot.

The show was terrific, as were the band following the Cabaret – we threw some serious shapes on the dance floor (It was noted the next day that we were 'on fire' – marvellous!)

The next day we visited the wonderful Jenny, a textile artist who's studio 'KASUGA' is at Rui Goord. We then spent the rest of the day with our new friends in the field we parked in, lounging on blankets and cushions outside Honey Bunch eating peppered cucumber and drinking chai coffees, discussing the burgeoning art scene in South Africa, and the benefits of 'travel' Verses 'Farming' (the squatting and travelling communities often see it as one or the other), this was 'sunday funday' at it's finest!

Dinner and showers were offered at KASUGA and around the fire we checked out amazing Zulu bead work from an organisation Jenny is involved in.

Today we mostly spent trying to buy sandals.. in the rain.. with tourists everywhere..then Cat did some van maintenance.. just sharing this to show it's not all glamour with us ya know!

FORTUNE FAVOURS THE FOOL

The Dawning of the Awning!

For those of you in the know this will be of interest – namely Jana's dad Kerry. For everyone else more interesting news follows!

We have an awning, and its stripy BROWN!!! It's really quite fab, giving us shade on sunny side of Honey Bunch where we are currently parked, and means we have discovered yet ANOTHER brilliant thing in our vehicle! Long may this continue..

Its been great being guests of theirs, our Frieken's family has got the moves!!!

Speaking of which the final shoot for the Lyrical Myricalz 'Amsterdam Stylezzzz' rap/hip hop sensation is being filmed Wednesday.. the release date draws nearer..we are getting ready for all the fame and adulation! Help us make is MASSIVE!

All of this requires masses of energy..luckily we have been eating well courtesy of some free asparagus, rocket, peppers, beans, beets, sprouts and grilled mushrooms..all making a tasty salad, hurrah to bins (and our glam outfits we rock whilst acquiring it all!)

The count down to our departure has begun in earnest – 9 days!!! Then Berlin here we come! We already have one project planned, and are of course running the Portrait studio at some fun Berlin parties and bars – email us if you have any contacts there! Wanderlustingartisans@gmail.com
