Leaving Spain we head..West!

Got to Lisbon in 1 1/2 days..all was well on the drive, in fact doing such great time we stopped at a gas station and completely re arranged the van..and left a HUGE pile of  STUFF  behine next to a bin..feeling lighter we cruised into Lisbon, and pulling up in front of our friend Merediths hotel.. saw her crossing the road with her hula hoop..of course it was perfect timing! (this note says we are visitng our ill Grandmother..working so far!)

That night we went to Carp Diem, an art exhibition space in the Barrio Alton Area of Libson, it's an 18th C Palace that they are doing up bit by bit and filling with art from contemporary artists from around the world. Due to knowing the right people, we got a personal tour by the director.. it was fab!

Went for a fab dinner in the same area, and stumbled home in the wee hours.We try Hard  to convince Meredith to stay another few nights.. but she has to return to NYC.. so imagine our 'suprise' when she knocks on our door this Morning!!! (in the middle of a rock concert I might add!! There is a marathon on in lisbon today..who knew?!). So we are all hanging out for a few more days! then we head up the coast for day of beach time, and then back to uk!
