On the Road again to South Spain..

We set off in the small hours on 17th Sep from our home for the last 3 months Cala Nova, and head for the ferry to mainland Spain.. once we had FOUND  the right port area we had time to make breakfast, Honey Bunch is the perfect vehicle! Coffee and Toast on the Marina front in the rising sun was a great send off.
And watching SHERK in Spanish sent us to sleep..

We drove as far as we could, and ‘slept’ under a bright light in the back of a gas station. Well Cat did, Jana was far too excited about seeing her mum and dad and their house in Pago del Humo!!!

Off we set at 7.30am the next day, still in semi darkness. Making good time we cruised down the highway, and nearing our final destination, with Jana planning the last part via phone….a tyre blew!!!
Luckily Cat, the driver, managed to get us safely over onto the hard shoulder (at this juncture I must add that Honey Bunch remains at a SLOW steady speed in the inside lane at all times.. though we did ONCE  over take a tractor..).
Safety first whilst remaining stylish is our moto, so sexy cropped fluro jackets where donned and the safety triangle was put out.

Whilst being unsure if we had Breakdown cover..long story..we made a sign SOS and called the police..who finally arrived and during chatting up Jana, called their mates tow company, we now had two rescue offeres! But Cat’s wheeling and dealing skills came into their own and Breakdown cover was restored..and dispatched towards us – HURRAH!

Honey Bunch was soon on the road again and we headed to Jana’s Madre y Padre’s Casa!

And it’s been great. Stories that have been told a thousand times are being re told, and seem to get funnier. Amazing food is being cooked and eaten, Churros has been consumed, hulas are being hooped, and HONEY BUNCH has got two new tyres (we had a great time with the mecanicos who thought we and HB were from outta space..though terribly charimg and amusing with our Spanish attempts and mimes..we do try!2) and a good wash and is happily grinning at us over the top of next doors fence (FYI Cat is a top notch reverse driver these days..tight spaces watch out!!!)

Tomorrow we go and Explore Cadiz, the longest constantly occupied city in Europe, wicked!!!

Big love, Jana Y Cat XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
